What does 2010 have in store for dealmakers?
Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Whilst the financial crisis caused a significant drop in deal activity in the first half of the year, the second half saw a marked improvement. In particular, private equity firms, initially shell shocked by the near collapse of the global financial crisis and the freezing of the credit markets, rallied and were engaged in deals by the end of 2009. Key questions for 2010 are: will recovery continue and how strong will recovery be? This podcast, presented in collaboration with mergermarket, explores the M&A landscape and deal drivers in the coming year and attempts to predict which sectors will attract dealmaking.
